Colombian Online Gaming

Colombia has a fully regulated online gaming market. Under the 2016 eGaming framework and subsequent decrees, online casino, sports betting, poker, bingo and other verticals are legal, provided operators sign a concession contract with Coljuegos and meet strict technical, AML/KYC and responsible-gambling standards.

The first Colombian online gambling license was issued by the Colombian gaming regulator Coljuegos in June 2017 and citizens must use locally licensed sites; Coljuegos works with MinTIC and ISPs to block unlicensed foreign operators and maintains a public whitelist of authorised domains. In November 2017, Coljuegos authorized live casino games.

As of December 2022, operators must comply with new responsible gambling requirements, including implementing a Good Practices Manual.
